Twenty-six Venus members had a blast riding in Summit County on our Destination Trip. The weather forecast looked very threatening, but it never rained on us! On Friday morning Sherri led a ride up Ute Pass Rd. while Doris and Carol did a Frisco bike pathta-palooza to learn their way around town. When others arrived, several of us rode to Dillon and walked through the farmer's market for lunch. Got back just before the rain started!

On Saturday we normally ride Vail Pass, but a mudslide closed the path to Copper, so 16 of us climbed Swan Mountain and rode to Keystone instead. Then 13 of us went on to climb 5 more miles up to Montezuma. Eighteen of us celebrated with an excellent dinner at Pure Kitchen. <-- Here we are after the Swan Mountain climb!

They got the mudslide cleared, so Sunday's adventure was Vail Pass! Fourteen colourful women made it to the top before the crowds woke up. Then we went on to hang out by the lake for scenic photos. The afternoon celebration was aboard a pontoon boat on Lake Dillon where much merriment and food was had as we unwound from all that climbing.
Happy Hour on the boat!
